Default Trading 'macros'?

I'm trying to sell my wares at the merchants' place in Old Ascalon...Is there a shortcut to repeat my offer of goods, or do I have to repeat it? Sorry if I'm missing something obvious, but my brain has taken in a lot these last24 hours!

You can simply enter the ammount of the items you wish to sell.

Regards, Ashleigh.

I meant when I am trying to advertise an item for sale...such as "War hammer of fortitude, damage etc etc etc". Is there a way to repeat this within the chat window, or must I retypre it each time?

Yes, you can press the up arrow button when the chat window is open, and it will bring up what you last typed, and you can keep pressing it to go further back into what you have typed.

Although, of course, there's a spam filter.

Regards, Ashleigh.

Not to mention it's really annoying if you do it too often.

Point well taken But how else to sell valuable items other than on a web-based forum? I think it's a shame when trade starts to take place out-of-game. Next thing you know it's ebay...
Is there anything in the ToC regarding this BTW?

Section 7 of the User Agreement: "You may not sell or auction any Guild Wars accounts, characters, items, coin or copyrighted material."

Default E-Bay strikes back

I saw some people selling gold and stuff on E-Bay already. I wanted to file a report about that but support page was a pain to get throught and it even bugged after I filed the report. I hope they take action against it and also make abuse reporting easier.

Read the thread next time.

There are actually two different ways to do what the topic starter is asking. Which is another reason why local and trade channels go off soon as I log in.

i meant looping macros or hotkeys...at least this system requires players to be at the keyboard.

I dont know why everyone is so evasive in answering your question...

but the simple answer is no!

I have searched and searched many forums and many websites for anything to do with binding or macro's.. there just doesnt seem to be support for it at all.

This is one area that CoH owns GW on, they have a brilliant system to bind several emotes and commands together with and quick and easy shortcuts.

Yes, there are lots of emotes in the game ..but having to type /whatever each time makes it impossible to use them to kind of effectivness... that why i feel think that guilds with TS will rule over those that do not, because there is no effective way of giving quick instructions otherwise.

so for now all you have to do is use your up arrow

I see. Hopefully that is not what the OP meant.

NCsoft can tell ebay to stop all auctions about accounts and money for Guild Wars, if they're smart enough to think about that though.

I've seen other companies do it like Sony for PlanetSide.

Personally - I'd love to see some sort of in-game auction house... not the WoW style but more along the lines of the one used in FFXInline - although obviously there would have to be changes to cope with variations caused by inscriptions and other mods... would make buying and selling a lot easier and help prevent people from ripping off unwary/inexperienced players

Explain what you mean, Planetside doesn't have gold Unless your talking about ingame characters?

On topic... don't use any 3rd party software to auto-spam for you. They often have spyware in them, and they are against the rules. Meaning A.net will ban you if they catch you.

Just a heads up
